What is the TVDSA Walk For Down Syndrome?

The TVDSA Walk For Down Syndrome has become a premier advocacy event for Down syndrome. The TVDSA Walk was established in 2001 by TVDSA volunteers to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October. The Walk promotes inclusion between friends of every ability.  The TVDSA Walk Program has grown from dozens of participants in the first event to thousands at the most recent event!  This event is the primary fundraising effort for TVDSA to support our community.

When you support the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association Walk, you help create awareness and acceptance for people who have Down syndrome in the Treasure Valley.  And by supporting the TVDSA, you help us provide programs and education to families and advocate for those with disabilities.  Support a friend who has Down syndrome or come meet one that day!

2021 is our 19th Annual TVDSA Walk and will be held virtually

The TVDSA Walk is a great opportunity for those of us who love someone with Down syndrome to share our feelings with everyone we know! Yes, the walk is the biggest fundraiser of the year for TVDSA, but it’s also a vehicle for creating community awareness. And, if you have ever been to the Walk before, you know it’s a CELEBRATION! The atmosphere is fun, energetic, and joyous, and that’s because we’re so excited to tell the community what these individuals with Down syndrome mean to us.

MANY THANKS to all of our sponsors – We could not do this with out them!
